I asked for him to capture me in a photo

And he said no.

But I swear I asked. Everyone has a camera on their phone.

So I broke up with him. And even though I want to stop talking about it and him and everything - it’s going to take time.

We were together sixteen years.

And today, August 29th, 2024, I kinda laugh because here’s the photo I wanted. I got my candid photo from him with both of my kids after all.

All it took was me paying attention.
